MALLET, the debut album from Reed Stewart has a structure and flow all of its own.  Drawing on influences from Thundercat to Nine Inch Nails, MALLET features condensed Electric-Rock songs that catch easily and evaporate slowly.  Stewart has been playing drums with numerous artists across the world for years, but it wasn't until his playing drums for 5 years with  R.Stevie Moore, (The Godfather of DIY) that Stewart was inspired to play all parts and own each and every piece of Mallet. The result is a Electronic synthesis of moving parts and  "chordal layering" - a thorough composed drumming technique coined by Stewart which he explains as two or more percussive sounds executed simultaneously, creating one new altogether. Stewart engraved the drums into MALLET as the architect and counterpoint to all. With MALLET, Stewart puts music on its head by pinning the drumset to its foundation.

Reed has also toured extensively throughout Europe, Russia, Mexico, Malaysia, Canada, and the United States with, R. Stevie Moore, Zee Avi, Rye Davis, Kara Grainger, Rachel Trachtenburg as well as orthers and as solo. Notable venues include the Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles,CA), Bad Bonn Festival (Düdingen, Switzerland) Distrelka Film Festival (Moscow, RU),Santa Barbara Bowl (Santa Barbara, CA) The Greek Theater (Los Angeles , CA), Click Festival (Denmark), The Lilith Fair Festival, Canuck Stadium (Vancouver, BC), Comerica Theater (Phoenix,Arizona), The Click Festival (Helsingor, Denmark), Pop Revo (Denmark), Noise Pop (San Francisco, CA), Weekend Singulier (Le Lieu Nantes, FR), Glasslands (NYC), Le PoissonRouge (NYC), Nublu (NYC), The Bowery Electric (NYC), Baby’s All Right (NYC), Birdland (NYC)
